Making Changes
Having the opportunity to live life to the full is something that many people want, but you cannot get yourself motivated to go and do it. It is almost like waking up every morning and saying if only I didn’t have to reach for my glasses and I could awake with perfect vision. However, you have been telling yourself this for 10 years and have been too busy to arrange laser eye surgery.
Making changes to your life in a sustained way requires organisation. Trying to lose weight, give up a habit or maybe even just getting fit. The idea sounds great and things are great when you have lots of motivation but when times get hard, it is very easy to just give up. However, with the correct support, changing your life for the better is much easier.
When we think of support, it is not just a passing, ‘how are you’ comment, it needs to be genuine interest in your well being. Support that offers guidance when considering life decisions and someone you can turn to in moments of joy.
There are many ways in which you can seek this support from professionals, whether it is through your GP’s, sector workers or PWP’s they are there to help. It could even be a good friend, but you need to be able to let others help you.
So lose that 15 pounds in weight, book that laser eye surgery or just join a social club, but once you have helped yourself then remember others may be needing your support so go on and give life to others.
