“Campaigns like Live Life Then Give Life are a vital reminder to everyone of the urgent need to carry a card and make our wishes clear. If more of us did, people like her would not have to endure such an agonising and pointless wait for life-saving transplants.”
— Richard Madeley

“Cystic Fibrosis has blighted the lives of many for far too long but the research into and the development of the appropriate treatment has meant that the life expectancy for sufferers has improved markedly. Please join me in your support for this Live Life Then Give Life campaign.”
— David Gower

Join me to give life — I've been giving my support to the live life then give life campaign, started by Emily Thackray and her friend Emma Harris. Both suffer from Cystic Fibrosis and if Emily doesn't get a transplant soon there is a 50% chance she will die. The campaign is raising awareness about the fact that there's a serious lack of organ donors in the UK. Please help and sign up to the NHS organ donation register at www.uktransplant.org”
— Kerry Katona's column in OK Magazine, 21st March 2007

Say a little prayer for our Emily — Four hundred people die each year while waiting for an organ transplant. Our friend Emily Thackray needs new lungs because of advanced Cystic Fibrosis. After a year on the waiting list, she is almost out of time. But it has not stopped her launching a national campaign to raise awareness. So if you see someone wearing a T-shirt with the logo “I'd give you one...” on the front and “Live life then give life” on the back, it's one of Emily's. Say a little prayer for her. Even better, join the NHS organ donor scheme”
